Honour from the Collector of Mumbai

 

Lt. Nawang was a through Mumbaite, having been born and brought up in Mumbai. This is a city that he loved and called it his own. The Collector of Mumbai is one of the senior most officers in the city and symbolises the city.

The office of Collector of Mumbai honoured this son of Mumbai City, Lt. Nawang Kapadia. The family was invited to a small and dignified function by the Collector of Mumbai,  Shri Debashish Chakravarty,  at   Old Customs House.

A plaque was given in honour of Lt. Nawang Kapadia. The plaque carries the seal of the Maharashtra Government and in Marathi has the words

"He made the supreme sacrifice for the country in a war-like situation"
