Mountains and the  Memory of Lt. Nawang Kapadia

Nawang's father is one of the foremost mountaineers in the Himalayas. Nawang shared his deep and enduring love for the mountains. Nawang's decisions to join the army was fashioned by this love and the draw of the mountains, which for years have protected India against invaders.

The new threats to the nation, require a force greater than the Himalayas, the Indian Army, to defeat the Pakistan sponsored terrorists.

Harish Kapadia, goes to the Himalayas often, leading exploratory expeditions to remote and often inhospitable areas. All his expeditions since 2000 are dedicated to the memory of his son, Lt. Nawang Kapadia
