Nawang’s father is one of the foremost mountaineers in the Himalayas. Nawang shared his deep and enduring love for the mountains. Nawang’s decisions to join the army was fashioned by this love and the draw of the mountains, which for years have protected India against invaders.
The new threats to the nation, require a force greater than the Himalayas, the Indian Army, to defeat the Pakistan sponsored terrorists.
