Ayo Gorkhali !!!

The War Cry is yelled out loud by all soldiers during combat. It motivates and keeps the spirits of soldiers high in the battlefield.

The War Cry for Gorkha Rifles is “Jai Maha Kali, Ayo Gorkhali”.

This graphic is of a Gorkha soldier yelling out his regiments war cry and attacking the enemy with his Khukri.

Once Gorkhas have unsheathed Khukri in a battlefield and called out “Jai Ma Kali, Ayo Gorkhali” the Khukri will always shed blood and defeat the enemy.

They will fight till last man left and last bullet and then strike terror to the enemy with the Khukri.

This graphic is dedicated to Indian Army Gorkha Rifles each soldier and his spirit. May they always be victorious.

Broncos “Broncos” means wild horses. 4/3 GR Officers were known to be fearless and and wild natured. So, the term BRONCOS was coined in 1964.

This graphic is inspired by BRONCOS and the untamed battle spirit of the Phor Thud Officers. They are wild natured when tasked to defeat the enemy but the ethos of unit makes them the finest officers anywhere. Every officer once he becomes a BRONCO, is part of PHOR THUD family.

Lt Nawang Kapadia joined the unit and was welcomed with full spirits. It is always disheartening for a family to have lost a member though they are immensely proud of him. He is fondly remembered and missed – “Paltan Never Forgets”.

Phalam Bahadur Phalam Bahadur/ Iron Gorkha is a symbol of a true Gorkha soldier. The graphic is from the 50th Flag raising celebrations in Delhi in 2012.

The memorial has names of those inscribed who have shown their ultimate sacrifice towards their duty and Country.
