Red Plus in Services Selection Board for OTA in Chennai

Lt. Nawang appeared for his Services Selection Board in June of 1999. He cleared the Services Selection Board (SSB) interview in Allahabad. The Red Plus on the bib shows that they have cleared the board.
They are waiting for the medical test. The medical test found in nearly 11 kilos overweight. He had 30 days to retake the medical test and come in at the accepted weight. That transformed him overnight. He started running 10 kms every day and eating only boiled vegetables. He would also wrap himself up in blankets to sweat out all the weight. Sq Ldr Mascarenhas and Major Nugyal helped him tremendously during this time
All his hard work and perseverance finally paid off when he was accepted into the OTA in Chennai
